Garden Display Dig for Victory

14th October – 17th November

To mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War, this “Dig for Victory” exhibition looks at the important role that the RHS played in the governments ‘Dig for Victory’ Campaign. From the iconic publication of the Vegetable Garden displayed to touring lectures on gardening up and down the country, this display reveals how the RHS helped the nation to feed itself.

The display includes photos and memories of wartime vegetable gardens submitted in response to the public appeal the RHS ran earlier this year. It also shines a light on the Society’s work with community groups and the ways that growing fruit and vegetables continues to bring people together today.

Rosemoor Glow Nights

15th November onwards

Spend an evening around the Winter Garden, Stream Field and Long Borders – see them come alive with colour and lights.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday the ‘Glow’ Garden Illuminations will be taking place. Based in and around their Winter and Formal Gardens, they invite you to enjoy the magical illumination of the gardens in the depths of winter. See the hi-tech colour changing lights illuminate trees and shrubs making an amazing show to delight and enthral visitors, for a truly unique view of these stunning gardens.

About the RHS
The Royal Horticultural Society, the world’s leading gardening charity, was founded in 1804 by Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood. Our vision is to enrich everyone’s life through plants, and make the UK a greener and more beautiful place. This aspiration underpins all that we do, from inspirational gardens and shows, through our scientific research, to our education and community programmes such as Campaign for School Gardening and Britain in Bloom. We produce key publications, hold a world-class collection of horticultural books and botanical art, and sell the very best plants and gardening gifts.

The RHS is fundraising £40m to transform our gardens, outreach and education facilities, which includes redeveloping our flagship RHS Garden Wisley and opening a new garden, RHS Garden Bridgewater, in 2020. We are solely funded by our members, visitors and supporters. For more information visit www.rhs.org.uk.
